Your extensive Around-the-Island tour departs from the bustling Taipei, where the most acclaimed highlights are all on our list: Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Loshan Temple, National Palace Museum, and of course, the almighty Taipei 101. You will be exploring the quaint charms of Taiwan in Jiufen, a little town frozen in time since the 60s. We continue our journey and reach Yilan, a city with an abundance of traditional arts scenes that helps you slow down and experience life to its fullest. Visit Taroko Gorge, where Mother Nature has created one of her finest works of art.
We then come to the sprawling, coastal town of Taitung. The ocean, mountains, temples, cultural diversity and a strong indigenous presence together bestow a special atmosphere. Taitung’s streets smell of the sea and incense; the pace of life is slower. This chilled vibe has attracted a number of Taiwan’s bohemian set, who have settled here to open cafes.
Located in Pingtung, a beautiful city in southern Taiwan, Kenting is the paradise of leisure and fun, as well as the home to tropical forests, meadows, and seaside cliffs. Besides visiting the Kenting National Park, Eluanbi Park, Nanwan (South Bay), Maobitou, Longluantan, or simply just chill by the beach makes Kenting a must visit destination in Taiwan.
From here, we start our journey along the west coast of the island and reach Kaohsiung, a thriving international metropolis. Sunny and pleasant weather all year round, Kaohsiung is known as “Taiwan’s Maritime Capital”.
End your journey in Taoyuan City, a neighbor to Taipei. This area is nicknamed “peach garden” for the many peach trees that used to grow there. Head to the airport nearby and fly home or to your next destination.
