Mark grew up in Northern China and graduated from Peking University in Beijing. He also studied communications at UC Santa Barbara in the late 80s. He has been involved in the travel industry his entire career, starting as a guide for a reputable China culture tour company based in San Francisco. In 1996, he and Joe Sinisi founded Access China Tours, now Access Asia Tours. As one of owners of AAT, Mark constantly explores China and its neighboring nations to offer unique experiences to his clients.
Joe grew up in Denver, Colorado and attended college at Princeton University and the University of Colorado Law School. Joe became intrigued with China while working in Beijing in the 1990s. Finding travel far more interesting and rewarding than law, in 1996 he and Mark Huang founded Access China Tours. Although Joe has traveled to 78 nations, China always remains his favorite. Having visited 27 of China’s 34 provinces and regions, Joe has discovered numerous special places, events and experiences to share with AAT’s clients. Joe and his wife and daughter live in Denver.
Cherry is a native of Tianjin, China and graduated from Peking University in Beijing with a Master’s degree in Linguistics. Cherry enjoys travel and has been to many destinations in Asia and North America. Since joining Access Asia Tours in 2001, Cherry has led group tours and conducted detailed research trips in China and Thailand. She is the sales & reservation director of Access Asia Tours and senior tour designer. Cherry also works closely with travel agencies and educational institution clients. Her specialty is designing private group and family tours to China and Southeast Asia.
Daniel received a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Missouri – Kansas City and a Master’s Degree in Tourism Management from Colorado State University. He has traveled to 40 counties on six continents and has spent nearly 4 years of his life living, working, studying, and traveling overseas. He decided to work in travel & tourism in order to combine his greatest passion, number one hobby, and biggest obsession with his professional career. Daniel is also AAT’s expert group tour leader.
Napito was born in Beijing, China and grew up in Tokyo, Japan. She moved to the US to study at California State University, East Bay and later moved to Canada to complete her degree in International Studies at Simon Fraser University. Napito has traveled extensively in Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America and has worked in both private and public institutions. Napito has a passion for international travel and is very enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge on Japanese culture and traditions with her clients.
Lianna was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. She received a diploma in Travel and Tourism at Centennial College in Toronto and has been in love with the travel industry since. Lianna has worked in the travel industry for 7 years and has traveled extensively across Canada and moved her family to Vancouver in 2015. She has visited many islands throughout the Caribbean and often visits family in South America! Lianna not only loves to travel but she loves to see her clients travel to destinations worldwide. She prides herself on helping her clients fulfill their travel bucket lists
Jin “Isabel” Chen joined our team in May, 2017. She is from Beijing, China and is an avid traveler with extensive knowledge of the airline industry. She’s in charge of operations support, document creation, air ticketing, travel insurance, and pre-departure for our clients. Isabel moved to Vancouver, Canada to study at British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT)
Xiao was born and raised in Nanjing, China. She completed her master’s degree in Communication Management and graduated from University of Denver in 2017. Currently, Xiao works as a marketing assistant and graphic designer in Access Asia Tours. Xiao has a great interest in traveling and photography. She has been traveled to many places in China and the United States, and she is always happy to share her travel experiences and stories with her clients.
Xi “Daisy” Gong is from Yichang, China. She moved to the U.S. to attend high school when she was 16 years old. She is currently completing her Bachelor degree at the University of Denver. Daisy has traveled extensively in China, Japan, and North America. She is enthusiastic and outgoing and enjoys sharing her knowledge about Chinese culture. Her technological and analytics skills help maintain the website.
Michael was born and raised in the city of Changchun, Jilin Province of China. He graduated from Nankai University in 1991, where he majored in tourism management and English language. For the past two decades he has been involved in the tourism industry in roles ranging from group guide to tour operator to business operations manager. His knowledge of Chinese geography, history and culture is unparalleled. Michael joined Access Asia Tours in 2005 as the Beijing office manager in charge of China operations. Michael prides himself in being available 24/7 to respond to the in-country needs of our clients and resolve any problems or trip modifications.
